PADDY MAGUIRE

Paddy wants to be a boxer, just like his old man had been, but he doesn't quite have the physique to pull it off. During the day he works at the Boxing Club as an assistant, sweeping here and packing things away there. He gets picked on quite a lot by the guys who are actually boxing, but he tries his best to not let that bother him. During the evening however, when everyone has showered off and gone home, Paddy stays behind and practises well into night.
He's gonna be big, you'll see. He's gonna be a contender, just like his pa.

so how're we gonna make this thing work?

Well if he ain't got the physique to be a boxer then perhaps he ain't ever gonna get it? Paddy's a possible soul to wrangle. Some things could push him over the edge. His old man's already dead, but what if something were to happen to his ma?

And anything else? I'm not too picky.
