I haz plot idea!
Sure, it's fun to do little threads where our characters get to know each other and establish love/hate/somewhere-in-between relationships. But I thought it also might be fun to get started on a larger plot. This is what came to my mind, but I'm totally open to suggestions or changes.
Suppose someone wants Beatrice's source dead before he tells her anything? Maybe they assign Nicholas to do it (hey, he's hungry). But maybe he gets interrupted by one of our angel characters before he can dispose of the body in his usual manner? So when Beatrice tries to get in contact with her source, she discovers a body killed in a rather odd fashion (two puncture wounds in the neck, nearly drained dry of blood). Maybe this leads her to consult local occult expert Prosper Andrews (and his fairy sidekick)? And he attempts to impress her by taking her to Midnight Cabaret? (Perhaps she remembers that nice Irish boy she met in the park and invites him along to protect her from Prosper's advances?) And then...I don't know what happens then, but I'm sure it will be awesome.
I tried to include everyone, but I know I didn't quite manage it, so if you see an opening for one of your characters, please jump right in. Similarly, if you don't want to be involved, let me know so we can work around you.
I won't start anything until I hear back from a majority of the people who would be needed to pull this off. So please reply to this and give me your imput!

What a wonderful idea! I'm up for it and so are my characters. Do you have an idea as the why Nicholas was asked to dispatch of this fella?
A forum-wide plot would be a great idea to bring members together. If necessary (once the plot has solidified somewhat) I can send out a mass email.

So Nicholas was ordered to kill him to keep him quiet? Even if the demons don't mind the citizens of New York finding out, they might not want to tip off ATILAG quite yet. |

But then I suppose ATILAG gets tipped off anyway and Beatrice still gets introduced to the Midnight Cabaret. I suppose that's where the title of this plot comes from XD
Perhaps I'll make a little graphic for the sidebar to make people aware of this plot, as it is our first plot...

Sorry, I promise to sound more intelligent from this point on . . . I think this is a brilliant idea and a good way to get everybody involved. Perhaps the source should be one of Madame Drew's girls; a human who had gotten in deeper than she had expected and didn't think of the dangers of speaking to someone.

Another person for my plot! I think it would work really well for the source to be one of Madame Drew's girls. Nicholas would be reluctant to kill any of them, since he sees himself as their protector, but he'd do what he was told. His reluctance probably contributes to things going wrong... |

I love the idea of it being one of Madame Drew's girls! She probably sold her soul quite recently and is probably on the NYC missing persons register. Beatrice, however, somehow managed to find her. So we need a nod from Prosper and an angel (Remiel mayhaps). YOOHOO PROSPER & REMIEL! LOOK IN THIS THREAD! Once that's done I can go crazy with making graphics! |

This is a great idea for a board wide plot, and also solves my problem of trying to have Remiel bust in on the scene randomly :S
I think maybe the ATILAG has not yet fully discovered that the Cabaret exists, but they are noticing the greater presence of dark beings in the city. I only wonder how you'd like him to show up? Will he discover Nicolas trying to despose of the body...? That way when Beatrice becomes involved, Remiel would have to follow them since he would be worried about her lol... But yeah, this way they are bound to figure out that the Cabaret exists?
But anywho, sounds good to me ^^

I was thinking that Remiel could interrupt Nicholas during the actual kill -- although too late for the girl to survive, of course. (Maybe she murmurs a cryptic confession to Remiel before dying? Maybe needing to stay behind to hear her confession is why Remiel allows Nicholas to get away? Just thoughts.) I'm going to put a note on Prosper's plot page. Soon as we hear from him, we can get things underway! |

Huzzah! We have our cast list! In order to allow for maximum efficiency (because I'm lame like that) shall we sort out which threads ought to occur first and which characters are involved in each thread?

Here's what I'm thinking...as always, feel free to make any suggestions or changes.
The first thread will start with a post from Nicholas, where he tracks the girl to the spot where she was supposed to meet Beatrice and attacks her. Remiel shows up. They have a confrontation, which leads to Nicholas being driven off. I'm thinking Central Park for the location.
The second thread begins when Beatrice arrives to find her source dead. (And possibly also finds Remiel, if he sticks around. Player choice on that. Also, she may or may not have Paddy with her.) The odd manner in which the murder was committed rouses her journalistic curiosity, and she begins an investigation which eventually leads her to...
The third thread, where she consults Prosper (and possibly his fairy friend). Prosper is so eager to impress her with his occult knowledge that he takes her (and whoever else is with her) to Midnight Cabaret.
And in the fourth thread, some sort of hell probably breaks loose. But I think we should let that develop naturally.
