Come and take a walk with me,
Where the angels fear to tread.
Come along and talk with me,
Sing the sweet song of despair.
Give your body, give your soul.

Persephone has a slim yet womanly frame and knows how to dress it to the best advantage. She literally looks like an angel, too bad considering she is probably as far as you could get.
Her long honey blond hair flows in a sparkling cascade to her waist and she has devised an endless number of ways to keep it up and out of the way as prettily as possible. Her eyes are large, expressive, almond shaped and a heavenly grey-blue. They are framed by thick, dark lashes that almost never need mascara. Her skin is pure peaches-and-cream porcelain she rarely wears make-up when not on stage.
What she wears depends on where she is and who she's with. On stage the wears whatever Mister Fletcher tells her to, off stage, around the Cabaret with humans, she normally wears white or pastels, simply to emphasizes her innocent appearance, alone or when only surrounded by fellow Dark Beings she wears red or black.personality
Like her attire, Poppy's personality seems to change almost constantly. Actually, the most forefront part of her nature is her deceptiveness. She delights in acting the part of the innocent girl who stumbled into the wrong club, simply because it is so contrary to who she truly is. She thrives on lies, they make up almost her whole being. One quirk of hers that she will never swear to something that is false, if the words "I swear" pass her lips then what she is saying is true, without exception. It has something to do with not laying it on too thickly, but centuries-old habits are hard to break.
Persephone is also very sadistic, she uses her acting ability to it's full on this point. Pretending she adores someone, then backing off, then heating it up again. She refuses to join's Madame Drew's harem because sex with humans disgusting to her even though she was one herself, once.
She is exceptionally talented at getting people to do what she wants, in fact her first 'job' was as a con-artist, but more on that later. Some call her ability 'charisma' or 'charm' she personally doesn't care what it is, it just works. Which is why she is so good at getting people 'on board' so to speak.
But her hatred is fierce. Never, ever get her mad. Poppy's anger is colder than The Prince of Darkness's hairy arse, but will it manifest in some ferocious ways. Her revenge will be powerful and subtle, but it's pointless to ruin the surprise now. Let's just say that plenty of people have never recovered.
Despite being born around Shakespeare's time Poppy is completely up-to-date, maybe even a bit ahead of the times.
Since signing her soul away, Persephone has endeavored to leave her humanity behind, to become wholly a heavenly creature of hell, and in many ways she has succeeded. But not completely, she still suffers feelings, she can love, she can hurt, she can hate, she can pity. Poppy sees this as a horrible weakness, and never, ever lets it show. Her heart may have hardened, not that is was ever that soft, but never will it freeze.family & history
Father: "Had one, think he was named Harold, Henry? something starting with 'H'."
Mother: "Had one of those too, obsessed with ancient Greece that one was. Seriously, who calls a kid 'Persephone'?"
Siblings: "About twelve, all dead now."
Others: None at the moment.
"Where to start? Suppose it started with my birth, but I won't go into that. I was the youngest of thirteen, that's right, that 'unlucky' number. Right little accident I was. Anyway, ever tried being the youngest of thirteen kids in Elizabethan London? That's when and where I was born, by the way. It's about as fun as you'd expect, noisy, crowded and painful. That's about all I remember about childhood. Those three words sum it up nicely.
So any way, left home when I was sixteen, my parents wanted me to marry some guy with land and money, trouble was that he was fifty and I had a horrible suspicion that he has syphilis. Not nice. Had a great time leading him along, though. When I left, heard he had a heart attack.
I remember conning my way to comfort. Don't remember many people, but I remember how to con. One of the best things on earth, trusting people are. My life before signing on is kind of fuzzy, but there is one part that I remember perfectly. That was the day I decided to see a show by this play-write, well, it was Shakespeare actually. Any way the play was 'Hamlet' and I remember falling in love with the stage, I was about twenty.
I wanted to be on that stage reciting those lines so badly it hurt. So after-wards I went around the back and begged for a place, but it turns out that women weren't allowed to act back them. So I did the only thing I knew at that point, I conned for my life. Tried everything I knew, absolutely everything, but that Will Shakespeare was a shrewd man, never even considered me. I got so desperate I would have traded anything to get on stage. Anything. Guess what happened next. Yep, all it took was a signature, reading and writing was in the deal.
So I got on stage, gave stunning performances, and then this demon shows up to collect the debt. Figured it was useless resisting, so away I went, into the dark, and I'm loving it. Most of this is true, I swear."the roleplayer

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:"Oh! You poor thing!" Persephone exclaimed, leaning towards the man, filling her eyes with concern, pity and just a hint of curiosity, her voice sounded genuinely shocked that his wife had slept with another man. She moved closer and he put his arm around her. Hypocrite. Not that we need any more of them. "So, what are you going to do?" She questioned, sounding very much like she was hoping for a specific answer. She placed a hand on his chest and looked up at him with wide eyes. Three, two, one. His eyes melted. Too easy. She saw his eyes travel down her form, clad in white lace and gauze, then up to her eyes. "What do you suggest I do?" Lord of Night! It's a miracle this guy is alive! Outwardly she fained surprise and flattery. "You really want to know what I think?" She asked, her eyelids fluttering. He nodded, Poppy giggled flirtatiously. "Why, stay here, of course. We have some rooms upstairs. They're not normally for non-employees, but I think we can make an exception due to your sad plight." Yes, because your the only man who has ever been cheated on. He looked around then smiled at her as though his dreams had just come true. She laughed and smiled back. "There's just a smidgen of paper work, I'll be back in a tick." After making a big show of trying to find the 'paperwork' Poppy returned with a contract, pen and a forlorn expression. How she loved confusing people. "It turns out that there is a complication with the upstairs rooms. I could barely follow half of the explanation, but we do have some space in a place just around the corner. At least it is somewhere to stay, and it's closer than your old place. " She said the last part as though it exited her immensely and gave him a loving smile. He melted again, but didn't pick up the pen. She sat and undid the top three buttons on her dress. "Why don't you sign that silly paper and we can go inspect your new rooms?" Her voice was laden with meaning, and she allowed her golden tresses to shimmer free. The man's attention on her exposed cleavage, he signed without reading a word and grinned stupidly at her. Persephone smiled for a very different reason.
